Training of Trainers (ToT) program for SEDO AND WRP

- Since majority of training program has to be conducted by SEDOs & WRPs, the capacity of them has to be increased through regular ToT/Refresher training programs. Socio Economic Development Officers & WRPs are to be trained to conduct all the training & mentoring activities themselves
- Women Resource Persons (Freelance women trainers) has to support SEDOs in Grass root level activities. To increase efficiency, WRPs may require to manage training sessions independently as well
Financial Literacy program cum SHG quality improvement program
- Financial literacy has to be conducted in large numbers across all branches of ESAF Cooperative & Lahanti Lastmile Solutions (P) Ltd.
- To possible extend make sure that large number of members attend each financial literacy training program.150 to 200 is the optimal number.Use LCD projector & Public Address System for effective communication
- The Financial literacy classes to be given using standard training document (e.g; FAME booklet of RBI)
- Unit Managers/Area Managers has to be trained to conduct financial literacy classes.Majority of training classes has to be done by Unit Manager/Area Manager themselves
- Whenever possible, try to engage experts from the field to take training classes
- Invite local leaders’/Government officials/local VIPs for the inauguration of every program including Financial literacy training program
- Use general guidelines given in this document as well
SHG quality generation activities has to be conducted with following objectives;
- Increase unity and discipline among members
- Assure the quality of Self Help Groups in following SHG procedures such as maintenance of books & documents etc…
- Improve the living standard and loan repayment capacity.
- Attract more and more members towards ESAF which in turn result in the increase in the number of members of existing SHGs & formation of new Self Help Groups.
- There is a large number of inspiring women entrepreneurs before ESAF who improved their living standard financially from nothing. We would like to increase this number by promoting entrepreneurship among our members.
- Help in social development through educating SHG members on health/ hygienicity etc…
Livelihood Development Training
Women empowerment through economic and social empowerment is a possible way to solve the current socio-economic disparity of our society. Micro enterprises, wage employment and placement jobs are some of the ways to reach self-sustainability. Entrepreneurship development will not only help in self-sustenance, but also create job opportunity for large number of people
As part of entrepreneurship development, ESAF Cooperative proposes 4 levels of training & mentoring for their members
- Pre Orientation Training
- To provide a general awareness among the Sangam members about Livelihood program and Training program and introduce our methodology to them.
- A pamphlet will be used to orient the members.
- The SEDOs & WRPs will organize branch level OMR/BAC meetings with the help of Unit Manager concerned & orient OMR/BAC members on Pre-orientation, identification of entrepreneurs & data collection
- OMR & BAC members shall support SEDOs & WRPs in pre-orientation training and data collection
- OMR/BAC members shall visit SHG/ existing entrepreneurs for providing awareness about livelihood activities and shall collect information using the prescribed format
- The pamphlet for pre-orientation training & collection of database has been enclosed. The format has to be revised and updated regularly
- Business Orientation Training (BOT)
- The purpose of BOT is to encourage the potential and existing entrepreneurs to build up their enterprise from the level of livelihood to microenterprise
- For potential entrepreneurs, BOT will help to create an awareness, to find their interested sector and to check whether they are capable to start an enterprise
- For existing entrepreneurs, BOT will help in formalization & streamlining, which in turn help to scale up their business
- LCD has to be used for multimedia presentation
- There will be fixed syllabus & curriculum for BOT training & the training material has to be revised and updated regularly
- Invite sector specific Government development agency representatives/Banks/Government department representatives (e.g; representatives from Industry department/Food safety department etc…) for the training, whenever possible
- Entrepreneurship Development Program (E.D.P) First phase
- Entrepreneurship Development Program is the second stage of training. This training will equip a member with ability to run an effective enterprise. Being a woman, especially homemaker there is a need to improve their skill and knowledge. E.D.P. training is prepared on that basis and it would enable a participant to become a good entrepreneur. There will be fixed syllabus & curriculum for EDP1 training & the training material has to be revised and updated regularly
- Apart from in house EDP training, the department will try to organize external training involving external agencies within ESAF premises & in the premises of external agencies. Such training project shall be implemented through either ESAF Cooperative or ESAF Society or any other ESAF group entity

- Invite sector specific Government development agency representatives/Banks/Government department representatives (e.g; representatives from Industry department/Food safety department etc…) for the training, whenever possible
- SKILL TRAINING
- For entrepreneurs completing E.D.P1, skill training on various sectors/business specific activities will be given with the support of various government. institutions and experts
- Apart from in house training, the department will try to organize external training involving external agencies within ESAF premises & in the premises of external agencies. Such training project shall be implemented through either ESAF Cooperative or ESAF Society or any other ESAF group entity
- Invite sector specific Government development agency representatives/Banks/Government department representatives (e.g; representatives from Industry department/Food safety department etc…) for the training, whenever possible
- Use LCD projector for multimedia presentation, when required so
- Entrepreneurship Development Program (E.D.P) Second Phase
- After the completion of E.D.P. first phase there will be a sector wise E.D.P. This training will enable a person to manage an enterprise properly.
- Training on Project preparation and legal compliance are the integral part of EDP2.
- It will enable an entrepreneur to prepare a business plan, sources of raw material, understand marketing techniques, time management, resource utilization, Account keeping etc…
- Invite sector specific Government development agency representatives/Banks/Government department representatives (e.g; representatives from Industry department/Food safety department etc…) for the training, whenever possible
