shining example of how the right combination of hard work, business instinct and access to capital can lead to great success. She lives in a simple home in the village Hinganghat Branch, Maharashtra.
| Untimely demise of her husband in 2011 left high
| responsibilities of family that consisted of two children, one who was just 3 years old. Their whole family was dependent on the meagre income earned by her husband. When her husband passed away, she had no financial means of supporting her children.
She bravely decided to earn her own and started doing bag
stitching after 10 days of death of her husband. It was during such slow face oflife she heard of ESAF activities and became a member of 'Charu' - Self Help Group. Soon after joining ESAF, she took a loan of Rs. 35000/- IGL and GLto buy raw materials for bag stitching and fancy wallet making.
No wonder, she managed to escalate her revenues and earns Rs. 7000 - 9000 monthly and on peak season she earns Rs. 1500 - 2000 perday. To become a social contributor, she works as a trainer with a local NGO. Charulata is hopeful that she will be able to expand her business in course of time. When that day comes, she knows that she can turn to ESAF for help.
